MARY ZEZULKA, beloved wife of the late Alois Zezulka, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the age of 96 years.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory three sons - Joe (Debbie) of London, Ontario; Jerry (Paulette) of Medicine Hat; Ron (Sally) of Calgary; one daughter - Shirley (Roger) Kincheloe of Lethbridge.
Mary was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother to Gwen Zezulka (Clara Fay & Elliot); Geoffrey Zezulka (Lada & Kvitka); Gabrielle Zezulka; Nicholas Zezulka; Leanne Calderwood (Shaun, Sam & Nolan); Jennifer Lehr (Hugh, Holden & Joel); Michael Zezulka (Danielle & Xavier); Michelle Tyslau (Andy, Amelia, Katie, & Sarah); Jamie Puchinger (Kyle, Claire & Hailey). She will also be fondly remembered by her siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was born in Liderovice, Czechoslovakia on June 25, 1925, the eldest child of Martin and Jennie Motycka. They immigrated to Canada in 1927 and settled near Raymond, AB. She met Alois Zezulka, who she married on September 9, 1944, and they eventually made their home in Lethbridge. They were founding members of the Czechoslovak Canadian Cultural Society of Southern Alberta and cherished sharing their ethnic traditions, specifically the Christmas celebrations, with family.
Mary was proud of her career in the retail sector, loved camping, fishing, reading, playing cards, games of chance, cooking, and baking. Her greatest pleasure came when she was with family, particularly the great grandchildren.
Her loving memory will remain in our hearts always.

Shirley, Jerry, Joe & Ron I was deeply saddened upon hearing the loss of your mother Mary. I had the opportunity to visit with her during family gatherings such as Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries. Each time I saw her I was honored to have had the opportunity to sit down and just say hello, although they were short visits one thing was for certain she always took a moment to ask how I was. And for that I thank her. Each visit was such a joy, I saw a women of wisdom, compassion and a deep love for family. I pray for peace and comfort for you all during this difficult time.
Shirley, Roger and Family--- Sad to read of Your Mom's passing. Many good memories of sharing times as neighbors over the years come to mind. Lots of sharing and laughs and kindness long gone. My sincere condolences to all. Maxine Richards
