Zatylny, Katherina "Kay"

KATHERINA "KAY" ZATYLNY, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Steve Zatylny, passed away peacefully at the Sturgeon Community Hospital in St. Albert, AB. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the age of 97 years.

Kay is survived by her son Gerry (Karen); three grandchildren, Stephanie (Steve), Jason (Priscilla) and Lindsay (Justin); and her four great-grandchildren; Blake, Ethan, Helaina and Jack as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Steve, son Melvin, as well as four sisters and one brother.

Kay was born at home in Harrison, Manitoba to Jurko and Teny (Bodnar) Tymkowyd on July 7, 1922. She was the second youngest of six siblings. Kay will be fondly remembered as a talented seamstress, who loved to cook and garden. She was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Kay was a member of the Our Lady of Assumption Church (All Saints Parish) in Lethbridge.

 A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 - 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating.

Following the Mass, Kay will be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery.
