JANICE YOUNG, beloved wife of Deacon Bill Young, of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, August 14, 2023 surrounded by her family. 

Along with her loving husband, she will be tenderly remembered by her four children - Anita Richardson (Laval) of Stirling, Karrie Yaroschak (Carl) of Calgary, Theressa Young (Brian) of Calgary, and Gerald Young (Brandi) of Lethbridge. She is also survived by her brother Blake Wilson (Adele) of Lethbridge. Held most dear in her heart were her seven adoring grandchildren; Alexia, Jayde, Conner, Sofia, Murry, Max and Rhyan. 

Janice was born on Nov. 27, 1948 in Regina, SK where Bill and Jan met and were married on July 13, 1968. They spent the next 55 years together building and nurturing their loving family. She was not only a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, but she was also passionate about her church, her faith, and her community. She was graced with incredible strength to endure the many physical hardships that our Lord put before her. She was admired by all for the love and kindness she shared every day. 

Always the accommodating hostess, she welcomed all. She loved to cook and her baking was enjoyed by many. She always looked forward to the comfort and friendship she had with her Monday night card group. 

Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Relative, and Friend - she will be sorely missed and yet an inspiration to us all. 

A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825-32 Street  South, Lethbridge, AB on Sunday August 20th, 2023 at 7:00 P.M., presided by Deacon Cliff Bogdan. 

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405-12 Avenue South Lethbridge, AB on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 11:00 A.M., with Father Tim Boyle, Celebrant.
