KATHERINE JUNE YANKE, beloved wife of the late Elmer Yanke, passed away peacefully at Fairmont Extendicare on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the age of 87 years. 

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Bob (Chris) Yanke, Glenda (Allan) Smith, Steve (Kris) Yanke and Carol (Tim) Linden, as well as ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. 

Katherine was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta to John and Lena Bennett. She moved to Lethbridge in 1969, following the passing of her husband. She worked at Woolco/Walmart for many years before retiring. She loved hockey, spending time with her family, playing cards and cooking wonderful meals. 

Katherine will always be remembered as the kind and loving matriarch of the family and will be dearly missed. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Patrick Siedlecki officiating. 

Katherine will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in Archmount Cemetery.
