HAZEL HELEN WILLIAMSON, beloved wife of the late Stanley R. Williamson, passed away suddenly at the Golden Acres Lodge on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the age of 91 years. Hazel is survived by two sons; Larry (Adora) of Lethbridge, Myron (Gerry) of Medicine Hat; four grandchildren, Kevin Williamson of Calgary, Teresa (Aaron) Jakubec of Calgary, Trevor (Melanie) Williamson of Medicine Hat, Shawn Williamson of Salmo, B.C., and one great-grandchild, Kyla of Medicine Hat. She is also survived by one brother, Vern (Ida) Koch of Peterborough, Ont., a sister-in-law, Joan Koch of Calgary and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley Williamson, five brothers and three sisters. Hazel was born in Lomond, Alberta on November 20, 1920, raised on the family farm, spent her first four years of schooling in Medicine Hat, returning to Lomond. She married Stanley on November 6, 1941 and together they farmed in the Lomond and Turin districts, retiring to Lethbridge. Mom loved her flowers and gardening. Her love of life and people touched the lives of all those who knew and loved her. She also loved her creator, Jehovah God, and shared the future promises that she anticipated.
