It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Great-Uncle, and Cousin, on Sunday, December 12th, 2021 at the Chinook Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. He is survived by his sisters Hilda Williams, Linda (Husky) Small Legs, Frances Williams, Karen Williams, Norma (Glen) Williams, sister-in-law Delia Healy; and his grandchildren Taylor, Ryder, and Kesler.

Lionel's passions were hunting, fishing, watching hockey, and wrestling. Lionel was a devout Catholic. He would not miss daily T.V. Mass. He would enter contemplative prayer and meditate. He enjoyed going on the powwow trail with his family, loved watching his children dance and looked forward to the family barbecue every Summer. His joy was the outdoors, either swimming or teaching his kids the huntsman ways. He loved every minute with his family and his pets, spending countless hours making sure his pets were well taken care of.

Lionel comes from a large extended family. His relatives are the Bad Arms, Buckskins, Brave Rocks, Eagle Speakers, Hunts, Day Chiefs, Standing Alones, Hoofs, Wings, Bloods, Calling Lasts, Bullcalfs, Wells, One Owls, Brown Weasles, Plain Womans, as well as his adoptive families the Big Throats and Healys.
