WILLIAM (BILL) JACOBUS PARADIS, beloved husband of Annie Paradis, passed away at Raymond, AB., on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the age of 86 years.

Besides his loving wife Annie, Bill is survived by his children; Will (Ruth) Paradis, John (Arlene) Paradis, Rita Paradis, Raymond (Lilian) Paradis, Jim (Tammy) Paradis, Susan (Dwayne) Kanten, Cindy (Andy) Vandermeer, Nancy (Gene) Boisson, and Roy (Marie) Paradis. Bill is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. One brother; Jan (Liske) Paradis and one sister; Mia Parren of Belgium.

Bill was predeceased by his parents; Marie and Christian Paradis, one brother; Pierre Paradis, two sisters; Mieneke Jasper and Catherine Lamberigts and one grandson; Andy Paradis.

Bill was born in Maaseik, Limburg, Belgium on July 20, 1923. He grew up on the family farm in Belgium and immigrated to Canada in 1948 with his sister. Bill married Annie on April 14, 1952. Together they raised their children in Parsons, B.C., then moved to Caroline in 1959. Upon retirement, Bill and Annie moved to Raymond, AB. where they resided until Bill’s passing. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at the RAYMOND AG CENTRE, RED BARN HALL, Raymond, AB on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

A Second Celebration will be held at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION, in Caroline, AB. on Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M
