WILLIAM BEATTIE

MR. WILLIAM ‘BILL’ ALEXANDER BEATTIE, passed away in Lethbridge on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the age of 66 years. Billy was born on February 19, 1941 in Aylmer, Quebec. Billy is survived by his loving wife Gail; his children Garry (Mary-Lyn), Glenn (Amy), Cindy (Dan) Poaps and Trevor; foster children Dawn Moore and Bobby Berkley. He will be missed by his grandchildren Anthony, Chad, and Ryan Beattie as well as Candace and Steven Poaps. Billy is also survived by his siblings Anne (Royal) Either, Sandra Norris (Kevin-deceased), Shirley (Fred) Anderson, Donna (Mike) Moore, Raymond Beattie (Darlene deceased), Norman (Ann), Dorothy (Alan) Britton. Billy was predeceased by his parents William and Evelyn Beattie and sister Jeanette Chartrand (Zenon). Billy lived in Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta. He spent a good portion of his work career as a long distance truck driver. Billy retired a few years ago and last year, moved back to Alberta to help his son with his business. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1490. He will be missed by all. Prayers of Parastasis and a Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive, South, Lethbridge on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Mark Bayrock Officiating.
