Jennie Arlene West, beloved wife of the late Frank West, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on December 7, 2021, at the age of 93.

Jennie was predeceased by her husband, Frank, her son Sam, and three of her grandchildren, Kyle, Chelsey, and Darrin. Jennie is survived by her daughters, Arlene (Wade) Bourne, Peggy Gilmore (Les Hanley), and Laura (Joe) Metka, her daughter-in-law Shelley West, her brother Cal Wellman of Waterton, sister Enid Barnhardt of Cranbrook, and her sister-in-law Gwen West of Lethbridge. Jennie is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends from Picture Butte and the Trinity United Church.

She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with her husband, Frank, and their family. Some of her favourite memories were a trip across Canada, many winters spent in Arizona, family trips to California and Hawaii, and several family camp outs.  Jennie’s family was her pride and joy, and she, their family matriarch, a strong and steady presence.

Jennie believed in giving back to her community and was a dedicated volunteer with numerous organizations through her lifetime. She was a lifelong member of the United Church and served for many years on the board of Canyon Church Camp.

Jennie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and her community.

A Viewing will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. A private Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Glenda Wert officiating. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed via Jennie's obituary on the Cornerstone website.

Jennie will be laid to rest with her husband Frank in Mountain View Cemetery.
