Bobbi-Rae was born in Cardston to the late Edwin and Darlene Wells and spent most of her life in the Farm-Four area on the Blood Reserve. Bobbie-Rae was also known as Dolly to everyone close to her, a nick name she grew up with since childhood. Dolly went to grade school in Cardston and finished off at the Kainai High School. When Dolly finished high school she went on to attend the Bald Eagle Program in 1999 in the United States. In 2006 she attented the PSDN program in Calgary where she lived for a number of years. At present Dolly lived in Siksika where she attended the Siksika Job Readiness Program. Dolly was a very talented woman who had various occupations that led towards lifelong friendships with her colleagues. Many times Dolly tried playing various sports but do to her clumsiness she was not the greatest athlete, but through many attempts of the various sports, she found something where she could be serious as well as use her laughter which was in hand games. Dolly was an avid hand game player and travelled to various places in Canada and the United States. Most of all she loved going places with her parents to play hand games and meet new people, who she made lifelong friendships. Now she is in Heaven playing with her parents and friends that have passed on. She was also an avid performer to family, especially at Christmas time and her best impression was of Hercules. Upon her travels Dolly attended the World Expo in Vancouver in 1986 with her classmates from Cardston. Dolly made her cursillo 2002 in St. Mary’s on the Blood Reserve and her theme song was “Heavenly Father I Appreciate You.” Dolly came from a family of strong catholic’s and strong believers in their traditional ways. She was gifted with knowledge and humbleness that she carried on till her passing. The proudest moment was becoming a grandmother to her twin granddaughters Natalie and Tianna. She was very proud of all her children and all their accomplishments during her time with them. Dolly loved to be with her family and friends especially when she got to cruise even though she had to ride in the ugliest rez’d out vehicle. We would like to thank all those that came to the Peter Lougheed Hospital and spent time with her and the family (you know who you are). She will be missed by all who knew her and were gifted with her presence.
