Very saddened by the sudden loss of my brother, Wendel. He was a great buddy and protector in our growing up days, always caring and giving...a little mischievous...a great guy! So pleased we got a chance to have him and Brenda visit us in B.C. earlier this month. He is loved, missed and will always be remembered! Rest in peace, Wendel!

I knew Wendel through his job. He was the one we called when we needed carpets or window coverings. He was the kindest and nicest individual I have ever met. In fact just this last month he put up new window coverings for me I told him the problem I was having with the curtins over my sliding door and he fixed it for me; that was the kind of man Wendel was. Wendel helped everyone. He will be greatly missed not only by his family but from everyone who knew him.

He was special to me.My husband and myself knew Wendal from Kerbers but also I am employed at the Enmax as a alcohol server. Before any hockey game you could see Wendal coming with his bag of goodies. We would hurry grab something and off he would. Wendal you are one of a kind Rest in peace.

Hurricanes games will never be the same without the "candy man". Kids and adults alike would search for Wendel at every game looking for their pre game treats. He touched so many people in so many different places, we will miss him greatly. His work with the hockey hounds was incredible.

Brian & Brenda Hancock, May 20, 2017

I am so sorry to hear about Wendel's passing. He was such a kind and caring man who was always fun to be around. I am one of those people who loved to see him at the Enmax every time I worked, not just for the candy, but for his beautiful character and conversation. We will all miss him dearly. My thoughts are with the family at this time xxx

So sad to hear about Wendell. He was kind, generous and thoughtful and had a huge heart. I appreciated his help when I was re-doing my kitchen floor. He always had candy for the staff at the events at the Enmax Centre. He was loved by everyone who knew him. I pray you will feel comfort and peace at this time. Bless.
