Wadstein, Allen

ALLEN WADSTEIN died peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2009, six weeks before his 89th birthday. He was loved and will be missed by his daughter, Colleen (Tony); his daughter-in-law Marnie Biga-Wadstein; his grandchildren, Kari (Edward) Wooldridge, Ryan (Heather) Guenter and Misha (Jessica) Biga-Wadstein, as well as three great-grandsons, Nicholas and Jack Wooldridge and Jack Biga-Wadstein. He leaves his sister, Hazel and two brothers, Harry and Bud; sister-in-law Edna, and several nieces and nephews. Allan was predeceased by his love, Lorna and his son Doug. Allan was a proud Mason and was recently honoured with a 60 Year Membership Certificate. He loved living in Grandview Village and treasured his friends there. Allen was a very kind, generous and gentle man. At his request, there will be no service. Friends who wish can honour his memory with donations to the school that his great-grandson Nicholas attends: Janus Academy Society (a school for children with autism), 2223 Spiller Road S.E. Calgary, AB T2G 4G9. Rest in peace Gramps.
