It is with both joy and sadness that we announce that ABE VISSER has gone home to be with The Lord. Abe passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on December 28, 2022 at the Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 87 years.   

He leaves behind his loving wife Shirley of 65 years, his children: Ann (Randy) Esselmont, Linda (Jim) Knight, Jerrold (Dawn) Visser, and Edwyn (Kim) Visser, as well as 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother George (Jan Tichler) Visser and sister Rose (Hank) Stronks.  

Abe was predeceased by his brother Mike Visser, his daughter Marian (John) Vanderwoude, and grandson Justin.  

A Memorial Service for Abe will be held at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 260 McGill Blvd. West, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jim Zondervan officiating.  

Donations can be made to the Interfaith Food Bank in Abe's honour.
