Visentin, Margaret Elizabeth

Peacefully on October 10, 2015, after visiting with her son Peter, grandson Pascal and his wife Renai, MARGARET ELIZABETH VISENTIN NEE MCDONALD passed away. Her last years had been challenged by Alzheimer's and gradually failing health. During this time, Margaret received extraordinary care from the staff of Legacy Lodge, Lethbridge. Her family was comforted each and every day to know that she was surrounded by such loving professional support in her last years.

Margaret was born in Prince Rupert, British Columbia on December 6, 1928 and spent much of her childhood growing up on Fort Street in Victoria. Those special years held the greatest meaning for her during her lifetime. She always enjoyed recounting the happiest of holiday moments spent with her mother Eleanor, sister Jody, and especially her father Jack, for whom she was particularly fond.

Married in 1957, Margaret was predeceased by Alessandro, her husband of over fifty years, who passed away in 2011. Margaret always felt graced to have the tender support of her niece Sandra Marotto, daughter-in-law Hiroko Kagawa and loving grandchildren Brynna, Pascal and Stefan. Her greatest joys were experienced in the raising of her two close sons, Peter and David. Margaret's life was one of unyielding devotion to her family and close friends. And, like the cherished roses she grew at her home on Glynde Avenue in Burnaby, B.C., Margaret will always have a sacred and unfading place in our hearts.
