March 13, 1937

Victor was born on March 13, 1937 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and left the world at age 88, August 5th, 2025 at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.
He leaves behind two children, Michael (Sheryl) and Marla (Scott), to cherish his memory. Also feeling this great loss are his five grandchildren, Dustin (Sheena), Ashley (Adrian), Derek (Aline), Dalton, and Jasmine; and three great-grandchildren Donavin, Jace and Cade. Victor is also survived by two siblings, Clarence (Colleen) and Loretta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Victor left an impression on everyone he encountered. He was blessed with a wicked sense of humour and could make anyone laugh. He was strong-willed and believed in working hard, being good to your friends and kind to animals. Although he had to leave school early to work on his parent’s farm, he was intelligent and wise and loved discussing politics, sometimes playing devil’s advocate to stir up some heated debates.
Victor worked most of his life on his farm, raising cattle in a compassionate manner, tending to the chickens, pigs and dairy cows. He affectionately named his dairy cows and spent a lot of time making sure they were well-fed and had lots of room to roam. He also enjoyed spending his time at auction sales, chatting with the other farmers and passionately discussing everything from livestock to farming tips.
We would like to thank all the nurses and doctors from 4C at Chinook Regional Hospital for treating Victor with dignity, kindness and compassion in his final days. While there will be no funeral service, those wishing to make a donation to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, please email info@crhfoundation.ca.
Victor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Cremation, with a private interment at a later date.
