I was sorry to hear of Joann's passing. I went to school with Joanne in Magrath and have many fond memories of her. We also worked in Banff one summer together. She was a great lady. So very so for your loss.
Joanne was an amazing colleague. I would always smile when I heard her voice on the other end of the phone. She was a wealth of knowledge, and I always was thrilled when I could help her as much as she helped me.
I am so sorry to hear of Joanne's passing. She was such a lovely person, always ready to assist with a smile and never too busy to listen. I often marvelled at how she managed to drive a bus load of rowdy kids home at the end of a work day, but she never seemed to mind. She touched so many lives and will be missed by many. My condolences to the family.
Wonderful person. I liked to see her in the office when I come to school!
Tom and family; We extend heartfelt condolences in your loss of Joanne. With the mention of playing ball and growing up with Joanne it was intimidating to pitch to her on the school playground knowing how hard she could hit.
To the entire Verwoerd family. I was shocked to see this today. I was lucky enough to work with Joanne and teach her daughters. She was the kindest, gentlest person. I send you all hugs and wishes that your memories of her will help you through this time.
I was shocked to hear of Joanne passing. I worked with Joanne as a teacher and as a bus driver for many years. Joanne was always a kind and helpful person. She was truly a dear friend. We celebrated many birthdays and new born grandchildren on Facebook. My deepest condolences to the family. My thoughts are with you.
My sympathies to the Verwoerd family on the passing of Joanne. She was a fine lady and a wonderful school secretary. I had the pleasure of working with Joanne in Baker Jr High School, Baker Middle School and most recently again in Jennie Emery Elementary School. No matter the grade configuration of the school or the ages of the students, Joanne was a loved by staff and students alike. She was a treasure to work with and always a valuble member of the school community. Again, my deepest sympathies to the Verwoerd family.
Joanne will be dearly missed. I will always remember her smiling face, laughter, kind spirit and will miss seeing her everyday. Heaven truly gained an angel. My deepest sympathies to her family.
We are so sorry to hear of Joanne's passing. Our condolences to Tom, BJ, Krista, Katlynn and all of the Verwoerd and Henry families. Joanne was such a lovely person and was so loved and respected by everyone who knew her. We hope all of your wonderful memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.
