VELDMAN, ANNE

'Psalm 71:3 Be my rock of refuge to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.' ANNE VELDMAN, beloved wife of the late Bruin Veldman, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the age of 80 years. Anne was born on April 28, 1928 in Emmen, Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1952. Most of her years were spent in the Crowsnest Pass where Mom and Dad raised their children, before moving to Lethbridge. Her joy in life was her family for whom she showed great love and affection. Our joy is that our Mother is now in heaven where there is no pain or suffering. Anne loved her Lord and Saviour and she will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren. Anne was predeceased by her father, Albert Mulder and her mother, Jantje Mulder. Anne is survived by her six children, Rita (Tom) Hamilton; Jane (Andrew) Patterson; Ed (Christey-Ann) Veldman; Karen (Phil) Huizing; Alfred Veldman; and Margaret (Terry) Britton; as well as 15 grandchildren. Anne is also survived by her seven sisters, Gerrie Vandeweide; Zwantje (Henk) Jansen; Hennie Nykamp; Froukje Lyster; Remmie Powels; Ali (Albert) Smit; and Bertha (Niek) Smit.
