EVERT VELDHUIZEN, beloved husband of Willemyntje "Meiny" Veldhuizen (née Vander Brink) of Lethbridge, passed away at St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the age of 85 years.
EVERT VELDHUIZEN, beloved husband of Willemyntje "Meiny" Veldhuizen (née Vander Brink) of Lethbridge, passed away at St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the age of 85 years.
Evert is survived by his loving children, Jennie (Gill) Hakze of Lethbridge, Willy (Wendy) Veldhuizen of Coaldale, Arie Veldhuizen (Rhea Thur) of Lethbridge and Evelyn (Tim) Donkersgoed of Readymade, as well as his ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, son-in-law, Len Rollingson of Lethbridge and numerous relatives in Canada and Holland.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Mayda Rollingson and his grandson, Brian Rollingson.
Evert was a hard worker who cared deeply for his family. He enjoyed farming and gardening, and he was a devout spiritual man who read the bible daily. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends, especially his ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at TRINITY REFORMED CHURCH, 1100 - 40 Avenue North, Lethbridge, AB on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.
A Private Interment will be held prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Evert, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, #200 - 325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 2P5.

We were sorry to hear of the passing of Evert. He was a great neighbor and a dear friend to my parents. We hope the comforting spirit of the Holy Ghost can help fill the void left by his passing. God Bless your family.
Sorry to hear about your loss. I will always remember Evert as a good friend and a man who served and helped others whenever he had opportunity to do so.. He was a man of great strength both physically and spiritually.
