VALLERIE WATTS
February 14, 1951 - October 4, 2009
Val was called home suddenly but peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2009.
She is survived by her loving son, Brien Watts, and many nieces and nephews.
Val was predeceased by her sister, Laverne Schow, her brother, Brien Watts, and parents, Leland and Pauline Watts.
She was a wonderful mother that supported her son Brien in all of his endeavors. Besides her son, family and friends were very dear to her and she held them close to her heart. Blessed with a good sense of humor and an appreciation of individuality; friendships were easily made.
Auntie Val played an important role in her family’s lives and was cherished by all.
She was a faithful Christian, growing up in the First Baptist Church and continued her fellowship with all who knew her.
Val was recently recognized for 15 years of service with the Lethbridge HIV Connection Society and will be missed greatly by her coworkers and clients.
A Celebration of Val’s Life will be held at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 1615-5 Avenue South, Lethbridge on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. with Reverend Dr. Bruce Martin officiating.
A Private Family Interment was held prior to the service.
She had a great fondness for animals especially birds, so in lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Val Watts to: http://worldparrotrefuge.org/, World Parrot Refuge, Box 645, Coombs, BC V0R 1M0.
