Twigg, Tyler Jace

TYLER JACE TWIGG, beloved husband of Tyra Twigg, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the age of 28 years.

Tyler Jace Twigg "Ii Na Ka Pao Nista" (Little White Calf), beloved husband of Tyra Joy Twigg, passed suddenly on June 14, 2020 at the Chinook Regional Hospital.

Tyler was born on November 4, 1991 to Lucille First Rider and Carey Twigg.

Tyler was the first-born grandson to Randy and Joyce First Rider and was a very active child; he and his sister Tash were inseparable. Tyler attended Lavern Elementary School, Middle School, Kainai High School, and F.P. Walshe. He was active in Minor Hockey playing proudly for Kainai and the Cardston Thunder Hockey Team, Kainai Eagles Football Team, and Kainai Eagles Basketball Team. His infectious smile was always there even when family teasing began. He was always the protector of his mom Lucille and sister. Years later he was so excited to welcome his baby sister Gracie; he loved her and often told her he would protect her from the world. Tyler would always say Gracie was like a daughter to him saying he practically raised her. Tyler's father was always on his mind, worried about him always, he would often tell his sister Tasha, "Please check on dad." Tyler's family was the most important thing in the world to him, always wanting to be the strength to hold them together; he was the shoulder to lean on for them, arms to hug them, and the smile to warm their hearts. He was such a character that even the extended family had nicknames and a soft spot for him in their hearts.

Tyler spent his time between his grandmothers' home in Lower Standoff and his First Rider home each place was so special and helped to shape Tyler into the man he would become. His Twigg and Big Throat family were just as loving, and he was a part of their joy. Tyler was raised to be respectful, helpful, and loving to everyone; he did not have an angry bone in his body and would go to the ends of the earth to protect his family. His love and integrity were always his best quality. The truest test of a man's character is how he treats and is treated by children and the elderly. Children loved Tyler and he loved spending time with them, giving special attention to kids at every chance.

From swimming in the ditches at Grandma Joyce's to going to school Tyler and Tash did everything together although there was two years between them, they were basically twins finishing each other's sentences and fighting like cats and dogs. They took care of each other from ball diamonds to basketball courts with their mom and dad they learned to lean on each other, and it made their bond stronger.

His special baby sister Gracie he was so proud of her and her biggest fan, he loved to watch her play basketball and volleyball and was so proud of her last year as she graduated from high school.

Tyler was very popular and making friends was second nature to him. His personality drew people to him; he was kind-hearted, friendly, funny and generous to a fault. He was extremely protective of his little family, parents, siblings, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and loved unconditionally. Tyler will be dearly missed far and wide by everyone who he has ever met and will leave a lasting impression on us all.

He was also involved in the Kainai Cadets program for many years and was proud of his son Tayden for pursing the Cadets Program driving him to his classes and teaching him to drive after class. He was a proud hockey dad, travelling all over central and southern Alberta to attend hockey games and tournaments, home games you can find him either; working the time clocks, playing music, or selling raffle tickets and participating in fundraising events. He participated in the boys' school functions and earned "bragging rights" last year when he won the Father's Day "Tug of War" event at Teagan's school, boasting he was the "toughest" father there. The boys kept Tyler and Tyra busy, always doing family things together, cruising and visiting family and friends. He loved playing his Xbox, listening to his music, creating his own lyrics and enjoyed attending concerts; he recently attended Imagine Dragons and Sheryl Crow with Tyra.

Tyler attended training in the Iron Works Program through Trades Winds and was a proud member of Iron Workers Local 725. His time at Red Crow College this past year he impacted those around him with his kind loving ways he showed kindness and compassion to not only the students but also the teachers and staff. He always had a "What's up, Bro" and hello to everyone. At the time of his passing, Tyler had just completed his second year of Upgrading at the Red Crow Community College Main Campus. He would have been so happy and proud of himself to know that he had passed all his classes despite having to take weeks off from school due to baby Love's birth and then hospitalization at one week old. His goal was to pursue a career in Iron Works and to move his family to Calgary to build skyscrapers and "live the dream life."

One of Tyler's proudest moments was the birth of his first daughter Raelynn born in 2012. He was a proud father, adored and loved his daughter. In the summer of 2016, Tyler met Tyra and stayed together at his mom Lucille's home, his words of love for Tyra are written on the walls of his room for all to see. Tyler married "the love of his life" Tyra on May 18, 2018 whom he affectionately called Baby. He let her know daily his love for her and spoiled her all the time. Tyler was devastated at the loss of his premature son, Taylin Jay and often spoke of him. Exactly twelve months later he was so excited and nervous awaiting the birth of his second daughter. Baby Love was born on Family Day February 17, 2020 and Tyler fell in love with his mini me. Making plans, Tyler and Tyra recently moved from Farm Four to Fort Macleod, happy to be on their own, and to make their home a "dream home." We cannot forget Tyler's 'son' Mittens, his cat whom he spoiled.

Tyler lived in Cardston, Lethbridge, Grassmere, BC with his uncle Chris Twigg, and Bonners Ferry with his brother Aaron Twigg. Tyler leaves to mourn his sudden passing: the love of his life, his beautiful wife Tyra, his baby girl Tressa Joy Olivia Love, daughter: Raelynn Maia, Sons: Tayden, Travin, and Teagan; his mother Lucille First Rider and father Carey Twigg; Sisters: Natasha (Dustin) Twigg, Gracie (Shane Jr) Little Bear, Kirsten (Tom)Goodrider, Marshall Vielle, Patrick First Rider and Alexandra Twigg; God Sister Whitney Hunt; Brothers: Charles (Trina) First Rider, Shay Twigg, and Aaron (Katie) Twigg; Grandmothers: Joyce First Rider and Dianne Twigg; His second mother and Godmother: Penny (Kirby) Fox; Aunties: Janine First Rider/God Mother, Rolanda (Les) Singer, Liz (Rick) Fox, Lori Ann (Patrick) Eagle Child, Michelle Bird; Uncles: Colin (Vanessa) Twigg and Chris (Leanna) Twigg; Parents-in-law Ed and Tammy Knife; Sister-in-law: Tana Knife; Nephews: Treyton, Taeson, Delrio, and Diason; Nieces: Taizlynn and Madison; Godson: Kayson; Great-Aunts: Rosaline Crow Shoe, Dolly Creighton, Audrey White Quills, Nora (Roy) Scout, Betty Ann Big Throat, Wanda Big Throat, Doris Big Throat, Pam Big Throat, and Linda (Darrell) Three Persons; Uncles: Henry Big Throat, Patrick (Rose) Fox, Larry (Donna) Fox; The First Rider and Hindbull Family and numerous other relatives.
