Tricsli, Lydia

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of LYDIA TRICSLI, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, godmother and friend to all. She passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at St Michael's Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit on the evening of Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the age of 72 years.

She leaves to mourn her husband of 53 years, Louis; her sons, Brian (Karen), Bruce (Becky) and Brent(Alecia) as well as her two favorite and special grandsons, Russell and Justin. She also is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Ann (Roy) Kormos, Johnny (Rose), Melvin (Joan) and Martin (Pat) Nemecek, Betty Nicol, as well as her brother-in-law, Frank Tricsli and numerous special nieces and nephews.

Lydia was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Elizabeth Nemecek and brother-in-law Russell Nicol.

Mom was born Oct. 25, 1944 in Lethbridge and spent her youth at the Nemecek family farm in Diamond city. She married her husband Louis on June 22, 1963, lived, and raised her family at the Tricsli farm, North of Magrath.

It is impossible to sum up mom's life in these few paragraphs so we will not even try. It is enough to say that she had a great love for life, a great love for people and all those who were fortunate enough to meet her, left her knowing what true friendship was.

We ask that all friends and family join with us to celebrate mom's life at a Graveside Service on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Magrath Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Richert presiding. Lunch and fellowship will follow at the Magrath Senior's center.
