TRAPP, LLOYD

TRAPP MR. LLOYD HERMAN TRAPP, beloved husband of Mrs. Doreen Trapp of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the age of 87 years. Lloyd was predeceased by his father and mother, Herman and Grace Trapp, his brother, Donald, his sister, Lorna, his son, John and by a granddaughter, Jessica. He is survived by his loving wife Doreen, daughters, sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and spouses: Delaine (Ed Nedza) Fallon (Mike) Renae; Shannon (Randy McRoberts), Paula, Krista Olsen (Nicky); Wendy (Rodney Murray), Cayley (Edwin), Travis, Leslie (Mike), great-grandson River; Robert Trapp, David Trapp, Veronica (John - deceased), Lance; Charlene (Chris Classens) Graham, Erin (Marcus), Megan (Chase) Gail; Cheryl, Candis (Bryan) Great-granddaughter Jade, Landon, Quinton, Callum, Kendra; Jody (Barry Knapp), Ayden; brothers, Norman “Skip” (Lorna) Trapp, Dale Trapp, sister-in-law Delores “Dolly” Trapp, Nephew Larry (Joanne) Trapp. Lloyd is also survived by many great friends and extended family members. Lloyd was born on July 16, 1925 in Lethbridge, Alberta. He accomplished much in his life, including raising nine children. He was a grain farmer for more than 72 years in Southern Alberta. He was a compassionate, thoughtful and honourable man who loved his family and enjoyed going to Picture Butte and Tim Hortons for the company of all his good friends. Lloyd and Doreen were married for 63 years, residing in the Barons area until 2001, when they retired to Lethbridge. Lloyd served many terms as County Councilor for the County of Lethbridge. He was always interested in discussing politics, world affairs and history. Farming was a passion for him and he foresaw how the family farm would change back in the 50’s. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed travelling the world. A private interment will be held at a later date in the Bowville Cemetery. A Memorial Reception will be held at COUNTRY KITCHEN (basement of The Keg), 1715 - Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Tuesday, August 21st, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Please come and have some food and refreshments as well as share the memories. Flowers gratefully declined.
