VIOLET LILY THOMPSON, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Douglas Thompson, passed away peacefully at the Cedar Creek Adaptacare with family by her side on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the age of 90 years.
VIOLET LILY THOMPSON, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Douglas Thompson, passed away peacefully at the Cedar Creek Adaptacare with family by her side on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the age of 90 years.
Mom was married to Dad for 69 years and raised 5 children: Darlene (Charles) Jahnke, Cheryl (Chris) Reimer, Connie (Carey) Anderson, Russell (Bettie) Thompson and Stewart (Sharon) Thompson; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Violet worked for the Salvation Army for 31 years; on a daily basis, she provided love and support for families in need. She will forever be remembered for her selfless dedication and outpouring of compassion and care.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME - 2825 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 12:00 Noon with Archbishop Daniel Zapoula officiating. Following the service, mom and dad will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery, during a Private Family Interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of mom to Operation Christmas Child, Shoebox Outreach Program of Samaritans Purse - www.samaritanspurse.ca
