RALPH THOMPSON, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the age of 89 years.

Ralph is survived by son Kelly (Roxanne), granddaughter Alexis Spittal, special niece Bonnie MacPherson and (adopted granddaughter) Breanna MacPherson, friend Betty Alexander and numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws Ivan Brown, Mac Sheppard, Audrey & Bill Krizsan and Mary Krizsan.

Ralph was predeceased by his wife Ethel, daughter Connie, parents Lydia and Walter, in-laws Andrew and Ethel Krizsan, sisters, Mary Brown, Lola MacPherson and Fae Sheppard, brothers-in-law Vaughan MacPherson and Andrew Krizsan.

Ralph joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1950. He retired as staff sergeant after 25 years of service. He then worked at Employment Insurance for several years.

After the second retirement Ralph and Ethel travelled all over the US and Canada. His greatest joy was dancing. He also enjoyed music and playing a good round of pinnacle which was a Thompson family tradition.

He had a great sense of humor right to the end which everyone loved as he kept us all laughing most of the time.

We would like to thank Terry at Medicine Shoppe North, the home care nurses and staff at Bridges program for all the great care given to Ralph over the last several years. Special thanks to the Lethbridge RCMP Veterans.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Glenda Wert officiating. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed via Ralph's obituary on the Cornerstone website.

A Private Family Interment was held in Nanton Cemetery.
