THOMPSON, MADELINE LOUISE

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of MADELINE LOUISE THOMPSON of Fort Macleod (formerly of Nanaimo, B.C.), on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the age of 68 years. Madeline is survived by her daughters; Shelley (Laurence) Pawlick and their children; Jordan, Tyler, Keiley (fianc?e Preston Burnett) all of Thorsby, Alberta, Tammy (Brian) Beech and Tammy’s daughters Rhylee and Karleigh Chow of Lethbridge, AB and Danielle (Rob) Stone and Danielle’s son Kodi Drewniak and their daughter Makenzie Stone of Ardrossen, Alberta. She is also survived by her brother Dennis (Edda) Lagasse of Lethbridge, sister Bernadette England of Calgary, sister Jacky (Bill) Low of Lethbridge, sister Michelle Lagasse of Lethbridge as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Dave Thompson, parents Louis and Anna Lagasse and granddaughter Lindsey Chow. Madeline was the oldest daughter of Louis and Anna Lagasse. As a child, the family moved from Westlock to Fort Macleod, Coleman, Morinville and Calgary. Madeline’s three daughters Shelley, Tammy and Danielle are the pride of her life. She lived in Lethbridge in the early 1980’s where she met and married her soul mate David Thompson. In the late 1980’s, she and Dave moved to Nanaimo where she lived until Dave passed in 2004, she then returned to Alberta and resided in Fort Macleod until the time of her death. Madeline was a kind and loving mother who adored her seven grandchildren with all her heart. Nothing made her happier than to spend time with them. Madeline also loved to make them laugh and would do almost anything to do that. She touched the lives of many people and will be remembered as a kind and loving person to all who knew her. Madeline will be in the hearts of all those who knew her and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace and may your memory be eternal. A Celebration of Life will be held at the HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2618 - 3 Avenue, Fort Macleod on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Ben Marino, Celebrant.
