It is with deep sadness to find out about Kerv's passing. He was a wonderful man and remember him throughout my life in different facets growing up in Coutts. He bowled with my dad and grandfather He made cotton candy at Halloween He was always at dances and New Year's eve functions where Leo and I played as the band. Most of all, I was always grateful for his warm smile and hug in my later years, after dad died and when I would come home and didn't recognise anyone anymore, you couldn't forget Kerv and he didn't forget me. He was like the town crier or Walmart greater of Coutts and he made me happy to decide to drive down and see who was there. Kerv will be deeply missed and touched the hearts of all he met. Our sympathies go out to all the family. Dave & Mary Anne Trenker / Desmeules. Calgary Alberta.
Sincere sympathies on the the passing of your husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. You will not recognize my name but our boys played for the Lethbridge Elks and Miners baseball teams. We never got across the boarder without stopping at Kerv's for junk food and bakery items. Before the car was loaded they were discussing what they would pick up at Kerv's for the trip. When we pulled into Coutts we meet half the other parents doing the same thing. I'm sure I'm not the only mother today who is thinking of Kerv, his humour and kibitzing with the boys. May he rest in peace from all the young baseball boys from Southern Alberta.
So sorry to hear of Kerv's passing. He always had time to stop and visit and always had something to say that would make me laugh and one could count on an interesting and lively discussion when he and my Dad, Ivan, got together. Our sympathies go out to all of the family. Darcy and Carol (Norris) Cronkhite
Mildred and family My deepest Sympathy for your loss
Mildred and Randy and Deb I am so very sorry to hear about Kerv. Your family was such a part of my early years and of my parents' lives. So appreciated you coming to Mom's farewell. I just hope that Kerv and Mom and Dad are having a good laugh sharing stories of the old days. My love, deepest sympathy and best wishes to you all. Peg
