MR. MICHAEL STROUD, beloved husband of Mrs. Debbie Stroud of Lethbridge, passed away suddenly in Fort McMurray on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the age of 48 years.

Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his family; Siobhan, MacKenzie and Liam Stroud, Justin Barnes (Justine Fournier), Courtney Barnes (Mikail Villiger); parents Max & Jacquie Stroud, brothers Dave (Michelle) Stroud and their family, Max, Zach, Cole and Tate; Kevin (Tara) Stroud and their family Brian and Charlotte; sister Joanne (Craig) Stein and their family, Sydney, Mya and Piper.

He is also survived by Debbie’s family, parents Erika & Denes Balazs, one brother Rick (Kim) Balazs and their two sons Dane and Chase, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mike was predeceased by his grandparents, Betty & Earl Stroud and Romeo & Regina Menard, one cousin Leanne Toop.

Mike touched so many lives, and many said they were changed after meeting him. He loved to hug, sometimes a little too tight, and he never had a day without a smile on his face or making someone laugh.

“Mike Stroud could wrestle a bear, weld a bumper on a semi, drink a keg of beer and eat a half of a cow, then wonder what else he needed to do before breakfast. He was the salt of the earth and he will be missed. Heaven just got a whole lot more fun, but life here just won’t be the same”.

Prayers and Tributes will be held ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 641 13 Street North, Lethbridge on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. with Maureen Condon-Horon officiating. (Please dress casually).

A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 641 13 Street North, Lethbridge on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Tim Boyle Celebrant.

Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
