BRIAN EARL STRAIN, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at the St. Michael's Health Centre, on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at the age of 69 years.

BRIAN EARL STRAIN, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at the St. Michael's Health Centre, on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at the age of 69 years.

He is survived by his children: Lila Henderson (Tyler Cseke), and Heather Strain; grandchildren: Laren, Hudson, Peyton, and Brett, of Lethbridge. He is also survived by his loving spouse Norah Fleming; her children Jenn (Bleu) Fleming-Baker and Kara Fleming; grandchildren: Mackenzie, Bayleigh, Wynter, Sylver, and great-granddaughter Amelia, of Lethbridge; brother Lloyd (Alice) Strain of Foremost; and sister Maryllyn (Bernard) Miller of Milk River; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by parents, Doug and Esther Strain, and brother Dwain Strain.

He was born and raised in Foremost, AB, where he worked the family farm before venturing out on his own for oil drilling and custom combining. He returned to work on the family farm but called Lethbridge home once he started his own family. He was a dedicated farmer who took great pride in his work, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren.

Brian will lovingly be remembered by his family and friends for his kind soul, gentle spirit, shy smile, and outstanding work ethic. He was never one to draw attention to himself and has therefore requested no formal funeral, but friends and family are invited for an informal gathering at the LEGACY PAVILION in LEGACY REGIONAL PARK, 400 Blackwolf Blvd N Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.

Cremation entrusted with Cornerstone Funeral Home.

My heartfelt condolences and prayers to Brian's family and loved ones. Brian was a great man; he was kind, thoughtful and so understanding. In life, we encounter so many challenges and disappointments but I am so thankful for the love, patience and kindness Brian had for my best friend, Norah Fleming. I will miss you Brian. Your life was a blessing to many : )

Our deepest sympathies to Brian's family on the loss or a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, and a dear friend. Our families grew up together, our farms being fairly close together, so we visited together often and have many fond memories of Brian. Brian was a quiet, gentle soul who will be missed by many. No more farming to do now Brian. Rest easy and be at peace.
