Steve was a vibrant, busy guy; he loved his family, friends and fun. He loved golfing at the Lethbridge Country Club with all his buddies, the Toronto Blue Jays, Edmonton Oilers and excelled in sporting endeavours from his past including curling, snow skiing and baseball.
Steve had a very strong faith and became a member of McKillop United Church when his family moved to Lethbridge in 1956.
During his working years, he was employed at Canbra Foods for forty years (now James Richardson and Sons), a lab technician, and later, as a bulk oil manager.
Volunteering was important to Steve; for over ten years, he gave countless hours to the Interfaith Food Bank, and Lethbridge Soup Kitchen for McKillop Church, to name a few.
A Celebration of life will be held at MCKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 – 15 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Lethbridge Interfaith Food Bank or a charity of your choice.

Steve was such a kind and loving person. He inspired me to get involved in the Interfaith Food Bank. I admired his generous spirit and positive attitude. I would ask myself, "What would Steve say?" "What would Steve do?" He left a big footprint in his community and at McKillop. I wished I had known Steve earlier in my life and spend more time getting to know him. I will miss him.
Steve showed everyone the meaning of kindness and gratitude, and his memory will live on in all the hearts he touched. I am so sorry for your loss, and I hope you find comfort in the love and memories you shared.

We actually had some history: Bob’s folks Cliff & Dini owned a house in 1960 on 5 Ave A North they rented to Steve and Marilyn. We both also worked with Steve at Canbra Foods way back in the early 70’s. Marilyn and Tobi, you have our sincere sympathies; hopefully all the shared memories are some comfort to you.
