SOUCIE GUY SOUCIE passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, with his family at his side, on Friday, March 18, 2011. Guy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gloria Williams; children, Lee (Gloria) of Picture butte, Charlotte (Ray Walker) of Lethbridge; his brother, Lionel (Madelaine) of Grand Falls, N.B., sister, Germaine Johnson of Hartford, Conn., as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his passing 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Guy truly enjoyed creating and building bird houses, gardening and particularly liked his flowers. He was a compassionate, thoughtful and honourable man who loved his family and his pet cat, Snoopy. His quiet courage, strength of spirit, creativity and sense of humor will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him. Guy began an early career with the C.P.R. in New Brunswick before coming west where his career changed to farming. We would like to thank Dr. Holland and the ICU staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital for their care of dad for the last five days. Family and friends are welcome to a visitation at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 - Mayor Magrath Drive S., Lethbridge, on Tuesday, March 22nd from 7 PM to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, March 23rd at 10 AM. Interment to follow in the Huntsville/Iron Springs Cemetery.
