Shirley is survived by her two children: Sherry Morgan and Evan (Ruby) Pisko; her only granddaughter, Leanne Pisko; and grandsons: Brent, Keith, and Alexander (Jenny) Morgan and Justin Pisko; her sister, Jenny (Don) Stalker; brothers: Edward and Robert Svrsek; and her sister-in-law Theresa Pisko.
Besides her husband Ron, she was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Jenni Svrsek, her mother and father-in-law, Julia and Clarence Pisko and brother-in-law, Trevor Pisko.
Although her dream career was to be a teacher, once she married Ron on April 24, 1964, she became his business partner running their gas station, ‘Matt’s Turbo Service’ for 12 years. After that, Mom spent many years beside Ron working on his endless list of projects.
After Ron’s passing in 2005, Mom had the opportunity to enjoy visiting the Seniors Centre, line dancing or playing Euchre, as well as joining the ladies singing at Ss. Peter and Paul’s Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
A devoted lover of animals, we know she was greeted by her seven Japanese Akitas, especially her special boy, Tsuguane.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Aaron Coma, Dr. Robert Low, Amanda, Rickie, Chase, Kristen, Chad, and all other 3C nurses who cared for Mom. Your kindness, compassion and care will always be remembered.
