Flexhaug, Shirley

August 16, 2025

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved aunt, SHIRLEY FLEXHAUG.

The eldest of three, Shirley was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, and grew up in Raymond. She worked in retail stores in Lethbridge most of her life. She was an avid basketball and curling fan, and also enjoyed watching baseball occasionally. She loved doing jigsaw puzzles, word searches, and crossword puzzles, and looked forward to the two-pager in the paper’s Boxing Day edition while they had it.

She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Edna Flexhaug, great-nephew Tanner Flexhaug, brother Larry Flexhaug, and her best friend and sister, Norma Richter. She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Kim Lissel, Brad (Kami) Flexhaug, Sandi (Aaron) Payne, Trevor (Jenn) Flexhaug, Lonna (Phil) Johansen, Dallen (Marinda) Flexhaug, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was stubborn, feisty, had a huge caring heart, and a great sense of humour. She wished to thank the following caregivers and nurses at St. Michael’s - Lauren, Marsha, Maria (Magdalena), and Sarah. They truly took great care of her in her last days and had a very special rapport with her.

At Shirley’s request, there will be no funeral.
