BEATRICE ELIZABETH MARIE SHEPHERD, beloved wife of the late Tom Shepherd, passed away peacefully at St. Michael's Health Centre Palliative Care Unit, on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the age of 95 years.

BEATRICE ELIZABETH MARIE SHEPHERD, beloved wife of the late Tom Shepherd, passed away peacefully at St. Michael's Health Centre Palliative Care Unit, on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the age of 95 years.

Beatrice is survived by her children, Ron (JoAnne) Shepherd and Nancy (Randy) Fabro as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Tom Shepherd and daughters Catherine Rowan and Rae Hansen and her grandson, John Paul Bester.

Beatrice was born on March 5, 1923 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. On May 1, 1941, she married Tom Shepherd. They worked and raised their family in Calgary for many years then eventually retired to Kelowna where they enjoyed the Okanagan life.

Beatrice loved to sew and was an excellent seamstress. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She had recipes for the best pie crusts and pastries. She was an avid reader and consumed a book a week.

Beatrice had a natural intelligence and she always quickly understood your point of view although she didn't always agree with it. She had a kind and gracious spirit which touched many people.

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Michael James Bester officiating.

Beatrice will be laid to rest beside her husband Tom in the Kelowna City Cemetery at a later date.

The family wishes to thank Roger Hacior and staff at Pemmican Lodge where Mom resided for the past three years. They also wish to thank the Home Care Case Managers, Lethbridge Family Services and the Doctors and Palliative Team at St. Michael's for their loving care of our mother. Special thanks to Travis and the staff at Cornerstone Funeral Home for their loving compassion and guidance.
