JOHN "JACK" SHENDRUK, beloved husband of Joyce Shendruk, of Coaldale, passed away at the Coaldale Health Centre on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the age of 89 years.
JOHN "JACK" SHENDRUK, beloved husband of Joyce Shendruk, of Coaldale, passed away at the Coaldale Health Centre on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the age of 89 years.
Besides his loving wife Joyce, John is survived by his children Pat (Jackie), Tim, and Terry (Cathy); grandchildren Tyler (Amanda), Brandon, Jonathan, Cassy and Anden. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Dolly Crabb, Mildred Findlay and Norma MacDonell; brother-in-law Bud (Marilyn) Monson and many nieces and nephews, as well as his "special family", Helen Ruston, Ann and Nick Lastuka, Rose Beresnak and Fred Leverik.
John was predeceased by his parents, brother Bill, sister Annie and stepsister Mary.
John was born in New Dayton, on December 18, 1927 and was raised in Iron Springs. He married Joyce Monson on November 15, 1951. They resided in Lethbridge where he worked for Southern Alberta Co-op (Cattle Division), Noble Cultivators, managed Hog Marketing Board and retired at Dresser-Rand.
John loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed family time with his children and grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at the COALDALE UNITED CHURCH, 2022 - 18 Street, Coaldale, AB, on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Glenda Wert officiating.
If so desired and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Coaldale Health Centre, 2100 - 11 Street, Coaldale, AB, T1M 1L2.
