MARSHALL SHAW, of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away with his family at his side on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the age of 78 years. He is survived by two sons and one daughter; Fred (Nancy), Darrel (Jami) and Shelley (Geoff) Price, a very special person Kathy (Bob) Ferguson and his special companion Marge Brandics; ten grandchildren, Kevin, James, Amanda, Corey, Elisha, Jody, Jessica, Sonni, Sonja and Ryan; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by one brother, Rey (May), two sisters, Carol Petri, Louise (Bill) Byrne and sister in-law Darlene Friesen. He married his best friend Valarie on March 1, 1954. Together they moved to Pipestone, Manitoba and returning to Lethbridge to raise their family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his children and their families. Marshall was a heavy duty mechanic for over 35 years and after retirement he continued to work on vehicles in his garage. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping and attending family events. He was predeceased by his wife Valarie on April 11, 2004. Later on he met Marge where they shared a special relationship for the last 7 years. A special thank you to all the staff at West Highland Center for all their care and compassion to Marshall over the past 3 years. A Visitation for family and friends will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Monday, April 16, 2012 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Deborah Lannon officiating.
