MRS. CLARA EMILY (PETERSON) SCHWARTZENBERGER, passed away peacefully at the Lee Crest Care Center in Cardston, Alberta on February 25, 2011. Clara was born November 22, 1922 in Bow Island, Alberta, the first child of Pete and Laura Peterson. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Stanley Philip Schwartzenberger, by her father Pete, mother Laura and brother Carl. Clara is survived and sadly missed by her daughters Lorraine Hockley, Donna (Darrel) Schneider, son Daryl (Jan) Schwartzenberger. Clara is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Clara is also survived by 2 brothers Lawrence and Paul Peterson. Clara and Stan married in 1940. They lived in Bow Island and then moved to Milk River in 1950 where they continued to raise their family. Clara was devoted to her husband and children. She was a quiet natured woman and took pride in being a mother and homemaker. She had a green thumb and grew beautiful gardens and houseplants. Clara was a wonderful cook and beautiful seamstress. She was always there for her family and will be deeply missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held at Mountain View Cemetery prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers Memorial Tributes may be made to a charity of their choice.
