JAMES WALTER SCHURMANN, beloved son of Klaus & Mary Lee Schurmann and cherished brother of Justin (Krista) Schurmann, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, May 8th, 2015 at the age of 28 years.
JAMES WALTER SCHURMANN, beloved son of Klaus & Mary Lee Schurmann and cherished brother of Justin (Krista) Schurmann, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, May 8th, 2015 at the age of 28 years.
James was a wonderful and loving son, brother, grandson, uncle and cousin. When he smiled, the room lit up. When he loved, it was with his entire being. When he laughed, everyone laughed.
In his early years he enjoyed sports; badminton, wrestling, and HOCKEY - oh how he loved his Maple Leafs. He embraced the family pets, in particular the dogs and they in turn, loved him back.
He was a great reader, devouring National Geographic magazines, books on Russia, war psychology, medicine and geology - anything but fiction!
Jamie's adventurous side led to seeing new places and in 2013, he made his way north to the Yukon where he worked in the mining industry. He enjoyed the wild open spaces and what a great place for camping!
Upon returning to Lethbridge, he spent time with family, cultivated friendships and focused his energy on weightlifting and Martial Arts.
He had a heart of gold and great compassion for others. He will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Toodeloo, Jamie
A Celebration of James' life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Larry Schille officiating.
