It is with heavy hearts that the family of MARK CORY SCHIKOWSKY announces his sudden passing on Friday, May 11, 2018 after a brief illness, surrounded by his loved ones in Funabashi, Japan.

Mark always knew what he wanted and worked hard to get it, and his successes were many. His biggest success, which he was so very proud of, was his beloved wife and children; they were his world.

A mischievous smile and boisterous laugh told you he was having you on. His sense of humour was a combination of quirk, wit and actions. He always made the most of sharing this gift with others to make them happy.

Mark was well-respected among his many colleagues, as he was very determined and reliable and was always one to deliver on his promises. Over the years, he built his own business in Tokyo and had many colleagues across the world.

He enjoyed the company of others and was popular at many neighbourhood gatherings. Once you entered his circle of friends, he would be a friend forever. Wherever that friendship might have sparked throughout the world, Mark treasured every single one and worked hard to keep in touch with everyone.

Mark leaves behind his wife, Takako and their children, Jasper and Zach; his parents, Louie and Sheila Schikowsky his sister, Kerry (Joost) Van Ham; his parents-in-law, Masayoshi and Kyoko Maezono; his brother-in-law, Takayoshi Maezono as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins in Canada and Wales.

A Private Family Memorial was held on Saturday, June 30, 2018.
