ADRIANA JOSEFINA "JANE" SCHEURKOGEL (née Ouwerkerk), beloved wife of the late J.C. "Casey" Scheurkogel, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully from the frailties of old age with family close by her side at the Edith Cavell Care Centre, on Sunday, December 13, 2020. She celebrated her 90th birthday on August 5.

Mom is survived by her three children: Dick (Marj) Scheurkogel of Lethbridge, Casey (Donna) Scheurkogel of Coaldale and Judy (Clarence) Slomp of Lethbridge; nine grandchildren; Kenneth Scheurkogel, Phillip (Sarah) Scheurkogel, Jordan (Jenna) Slomp, Daniel (Kim) Scheurkogel, Michael Scheurkogel, Jeffrey (Jessica) Scheurkogel, Alexander Slomp, Allison (Tim) Van der Woerd and Christopher (Lacey) Slomp; and 14 great-grandchildren: Abigail, Liam, and Grace Scheurkogel, Travis and Megan Scheurkogel, Parker, Mason, and Chase Slomp, and Sophia, Noah, Emma, Zachariah, and Arwyn Scheurkogel and Bennett Slomp. Also surviving Mom is her sister Alie in the Netherlands, along with numerous nieces and nephews in the Netherlands and Canada.

Beside her husband "Casey", Mom was predeceased by infant twin daughters Josina and Ingrid, granddaughter Kathryn, five brothers, four sisters and all their spouses.

Mom gloried in the love and care of her faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ. She trusted God to look after us and strived to live her life in the light of His word. A talented home maker and seamstress, she also loved knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and a good game of Canasta.   Mom enjoyed various trips together with Dad - whether it was camping or travelling in Europe. Being an Oma to her grandchildren and great grandchildren was a joyful blessing in her life. Mom professed a longing to go home to heaven to be with Jesus. Now she is there - forever safe, forever blessed.

We as a family want to express our deepest gratitude and thanks to the incredible staff at Edith Cavell and Dr. Greidanus for their care and love shown to Mom while she was living there.

"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love." Psalm 103:8
