EVELYN LOUISE SCHACHER (nee Nitschke) passed away peacefully at West Highland Centre in Lethbridge on December 5th, 2017 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by beloved husband Bennie George and son Douglas Ward (Julie). She is survived by two sons, Barrie Colin (Lorraine) and Reginald Gregory plus seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 - Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Tuesday, December 12th at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Bob Wallace officiating. A time of fellowship & refreshments will follow. After the reception, Evelyn will be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery.

Barrie and Reg, I so wish I could be there with you. My heart and hugs go out to you, along with my deepest sympathy. I don't have the words to tell you how precious Auntie Evie was and always will be to me. She was truly a delight to be with . I know her love for those she cared for is eternal and that we can find comfort in that and the many wonderful memories we are blessed to have of her. Take care. Love, Dianne

Auntie Evie, You are my dearest auntie in the universe always. You are my godmother. My middle name is the same as yours. I have so many happy memories of you and mom and dad and Uncle Ben and Doug, Reg and Barrie, Tim and Kathy. I could write many novels of our lives together. I will stop by saying "I love you very, very much. I love you so much" as we always parted in person or by phone call. Barrie and Reg and your families(a special hug for Christian, with whom I got to reacquaint at darling Doug' s celebration of Life) , I dearly want to be there with you at this time.
