Tom was my U of L student advisor, Statistics teacher and friend in recovery. He was the most gifted teacher from whom I have ever learned. Point in case, I found myself enjoying (and actually understanding) Statistics and I got a B. I will miss him and will never forget him.

I've know Tom my whole life. He was like a dad to me. When I was little I always got excited when he was coming to visit his daughter, my sister, he always knew when something was bothering me despite me trying to hide my feelings. He's Tudored me in math, which I'm sure wasn't easy with me as a student. He spoke at my wedding and said if he could chose a 2nd daughter he'd couldn't think of a better one. Such a big heart. He will continue to be in my heart and be missed dearly.
To the Samuel Family: I never had the privilege of meeting Tom but I know Gregg well and it is my belief that anyone that could have raised such a wonderful, caring young man had to be a great guy himself. I know Tom will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences.
