A Celebration of Russ’ Life will take place at Cornerstone Funeral Home – 2825 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. with Pat Siedlecki officiating. The Celebration of life will be livestreamed and may be viewed through Russ’ obituary on the Cornerstone website.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Russ’ name to the Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca), The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (heartandstroke.ca), or Diabetes Canada (diabetes.ca).

We were so sorry to hear of Russ’s passing. Memory takes us back to the early 60’s in Prime Minister Carney’s home town of Ft. Smith. Russ and Marshall were radio operators for DOT. Some years later we meet in Lethbridge, Russ now an Air Traffic Controller and Marshall still in radio. Russ was always a pleasure to be with. He was a kind hearted man with a ready smile. We will all miss him. Sincere condolences to Irma. Gail and family.
Dear Erma and Gail, I am so sorry to hear of Russ' passing. I remember meeting him at the staff gatherings at your house after the annual Nicholas Sheran Christmas concerts. You and your family treated us to the most delicious snacks and relaxing visits after a whirling period of preparation and student rehearsals.
