On Monday, September 14th, 2020, Todd Anthony Russell-Pakes, loving and beloved partner, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at the age of 51 years old, due to complications related to pancreatic cancer.
Todd was born on August 12, 1969 in Edmonton, AB. He spent most of his youth all over southern Alberta including Morley, Calgary, Fort Macleod, Canmore and the Blood Reserve. He made friends and charmed people wherever he went. His sense of humor and fun-loving spirit always made people feel at ease and comfortable. Todd grew up enjoying time with his friends while cycling, skateboarding, playing tennis, basketball, volleyball and video games. He was an avid music lover with eclectic taste, including hard rock, country, big band and classical. He and his friends went to numerous concerts over the years including Metallica, a-ha, Van Halen and ZZ Top. And, we cannot forget about Todd's immense love of all dogs, namely Tasha, Custer, Rupert, Booka, Bruce, Lucy and Rosti.
Todd was adventuresome and had a tendency to live life "close to the edge." Not surprisingly, he got involved in running Spartan Races where he'd push himself to the limit and beyond. He loved the Seattle Seahawks and was able to attend several games in person, where he fully represented the full meaning of the 12s. He travelled all over the world where he always made friends along the way and could tell stories for days about his experiences. He graduated from Canmore Composite High School, attended Mount Royal College, and completed the culinary program at SAIT. It was in the early 80's Todd realized his passion for cooking while at Nakoda Lodge, a career that would take him throughout AB, BC and Switzerland.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Father Kevin Tumback officiating.
