Rose is survived by her six children, her three step-children and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her six children, her three step-children and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was widowed by her husband, James Calder McKay (Calder) in 2018.

Rose was born on April 17, 1939 in Innisfail, Alberta, the youngest and last remaining member of the Jesse and Frances Miller family of the Cottonwood District, Innisfail, Alberta.

Rose was a longtime resident of Red Deer, Alberta and more recently, Coaldale, Alberta.

Rose’s daily life was shaped by the various people she met along the way. She will be missed by her family and friends and those who knew and loved her.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to all the staff at Sunny South Lodge in Coaldale, Alberta, and to her entire medical team during her transition this past year. Thank you to Cornerstone Funeral Home in Lethbridge, AB, for facilitating final arrangements.

A small remembrance of Rose‘s life will be held at a later date during her inurnment at Bowden Cemetery, Bowden, Alberta.

What a beautiful photo of our dear Grandma Rose. She was a pillar of our staff at Majak Gardens for many years and offered so much guidance to them. We were honoured last year that she attended our anniversary party. It was good to reconnect. Our sympathies for all of you.
