It is with the utmost sadness that the family of RONALD DENNIS (SCOTTY) IRVINE announces his passing after a short, but courageous battle with lung disease. Scotty was born on the family farm near Barons, Alberta to parents Hazel (nee Mickleberg) and Billy Irvine, where he spent the rest of his life farming. Married to Madeline Mifflin for nearly 60 years, they raised four children: Terry, Gary (Brenda), Lee (Monica) and Barb (Chris). Scotty loved camping and fishing in the mountains and spent many summers with the family near Spring Creek. In his later years, he spent much of his time on the golf course at Keho Lake, perfecting his game. He loved being outdoors and always \"on the go\" somewhere. Sharing a story or a joke at the local coffee shop was a favourite pastime. He had a great sense of humour and made friends wherever he went. In his last days, Scotty was surrounded by all of his family at his bedside, sharing stories and jokes right up until his last moments.
Scotty was predeceased by his mother Hazel (nee Mickleberg), father Billy Irvine, and brother Sonny. He is survived by his sister Lorraine and wife Madeline. Scotty is the proud father of four children, six grandchildren: Colby, Connor, Baylee, Carson, Brandon and Lauren. Scotty was a true testament to \"family first\".
