MONICA HELEN RODZINYAK, of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 after a brief battle with illness. She was 80 years young.

She will be lovingly remembered by her surviving three siblings: Ethel Perdue, Betty Jackson and John (Marion) Rodzinyak and by her 35 nieces and nephews along with their spouses and children. She was predeceased by her parents and five of her siblings.

Monica was born in Lethbridge and after high school she moved to Calgary where she enjoyed a successful career in payroll administration. She worked for many years for various oil and gas companies and made many dear friends in Calgary. After an early retirement, Monica moved back to Lethbridge and lived with her sister Val in a house with a big garden where she was able to enjoy her passion for gardening.

Monica loved her family and she was able to combine her passion for travelling with family visits. She spent many family vacations in both Beaumont and Vancouver. As an adventurous young woman, she travelled to many exotic places, but she also enjoyed staying close to home where she dominated the canasta card game tables, worked in the yard, cheered on her favorite athletes and made everyone around her smile. Monica will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
