It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the death of my best friend and husband Roberto Robles on Sunday, September 19, 2010. After a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 53 years, Roberto passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home with his family by his side.

Born in Guatemala City, April 26 1957, Roberto immigrated to Canada in 1991 with his wife and children, where they began a new chapter in their life. Roberto, in life as in death, was a fighter with an unbreakable spirit.

Roberto is survived by his loving wife Sandra, his four handsome sons: Roberto, Rodrigo, Rodolfo and Ricardo and his grandchildren: Owen, Lola, Carlos and baby Robles, expected in December, who he loved with all of his heart. He also left behind his parents Rosa Lopez and Roberto Robles Aguirre, his sister Patricia and brother Gustavo and niece Mireille.

Roberto will be missed by many friends and family members too numerous to mention.

Relatives and friends are invited to prayers and tributes at ST MARTHA’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 355 Columbia Blvd. W., Lethbridge, AB., to be held on Wednesday evening from 8:30 to 9:30 P.M. and Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. C. Stewart and all of the nurses on 4B, as well as all of the compassionate staff of LFS, PARP and the Bridges Program.

At Roberto’s request an informal gathering celebrating his life will be held at St. Martha’s Church after the Mass.
