PAMELA ROBERTS, beloved wife of Ian Roberts, passed away at St. Michael's Health Centre Palliative Care Unit on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the age of 71 years.

PAMELA ROBERTS, beloved wife of Ian Roberts, passed away at St. Michael's Health Centre Palliative Care Unit on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the age of 71 years.

Pamela Ruth Elizabeth Hood was born on February 2, 1948 to Edward & Lily Hood. Her parents—Canadian immigrants from Newcastle, England—have both passed away but she is survived by her older brother, Trevor Hood of Newcastle.

Pam graduated from Western Canada High School before attending the University of Calgary. She met her husband Ian, in April 1969, while they were working at CP Rail. The couple had their first date at the Calgary Tower and was married on September 4, 1970. Shortly after, Ian went back to the University of Calgary to study and Pam got a job with the Continuing Education Department there.

Their first child, Sandra, was born on January 5, 1974. Ian later got a job with the Government of Canada and the family moved to Airdrie. A few years later, Pam & Ian had their second child, Andrea, on November 24, 1979. At that time, Pam was working for the Health Care Unit of the County of Rockyview as a Home Care Aide—a job she continued until November 1991 when they moved to Lethbridge.

Pam & Ian lived in Lethbridge until present day, while their daughter Sandra (Sandi) relocated and settled in Calgary with her husband, Brian Dakers, and their two daughters; Mackenzie Dakers (17 years old) and Cassidy Dakers (soon-to-be 13 years old). Andrea (Andi) has since moved to Lethbridge and resides with her two daughters; Isabella (13 years old) and Arianna (7 years old).

Pam enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Molly, more than anything. She was a loving, kind and selfless woman. She loved to laugh, travel and eat sweet treats—though nothing could ever be as sweet as she was. She bravely fought an arduous battle with cancer but passed away in peaceful sleep on October 25, 2019 in the care of the wonderful palliative care team at St. Michael's Health Centre.

Pam's spirit lives on with her husband, two daughters, four granddaughters, and furry daughter, Molly, every day. A strong family bond remains because of her and it will never be broken.

A Celebration of Pam's Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. with Reverend Glenda Wert officiating.
