CAROL JEANNE ROBERTS (née Coverdale) gently passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the age of 84 years.

Mom was born to Charley and Clara Coverdale on April 3, 1937. She was raised in Foremost, AB. Carol married Brynly Hugh Roberts on July 1, 1955 and together they raised three sons and one daughter. Mom was a people person and loved her time with volunteering with New West Theater for 25 years as the House Manager. Mom brought joy and laughter to everyone that knew her. She was extremely proud of her family and would let everyone know of their accomplishments, always ready to show you grandma's brag book.

Mom was predeceased by her parents, husband Brynly, daughter-in-law Wanda Roberts, and numerous aunts and uncles. Left to remember Mom are her sisters Isobel and Joyce, brother Dick, children Hugh, Alan, Kelly, and Dianne, and their families.

A special thank you to all of the incredible doctors, nurses, and support people at the Chinook Regional Hospital for all the care they provided to mom.

A Come and Go Reception will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., with a short service at 3:00 P.M. with Patrick Siedlecki officiating.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held in the Didsbury Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca)

My condolences to Carol's family and everyone that she loved, which as I far as could tell was... well... pretty much everyone, period. Carol was a big part of my time at New West, especially those years when I would get stuck running the 50/50 draw after intermission. I started every second act hanging out with Carol in the hallway as we waited for the ticket bucket. It was just the two of us and whoever was stage managing the show. I treasure those quiet moments. We had lots of laughs and traded some choice wry comments in those brief moments of calm before the mayhem of the show would resume. Also, the sheer number of times I would say to the 50/50 winner "you can bring your ticket to the lovely Carol in the lobby after the show" and there she'd be, looking lovely in a trademark sparkly dress, in a spotlight by the side door... Carol really knew how to catch the light, inside the theatre and out. I'm gonna miss her a lot.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Carol. She was such a bright ray of sunshine always greeting me with a smile. Although I have not seen her for a few years, she will always be remembered as an amazing, happy, positive woman. I am so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this terribly difficult time.
