He was predeceased by his brother Bruce, his nephew Jarrod Rodin and his great niece Ireyland Rodin. Bob was born May 13, 1954 in Trail, B.C. and always retained a love for B.C. and the mountains. He was raised in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and was extremely proud of his Scottish heritage and belonging to the Angus Clan. Bob worked seismic in the Arctic and loved the unbelievable beauty of the place. He was proud to be an active protester of the Vietnam War and felt he was lucky because he had done so much and seen so much. He also worked for CPR for seven years, working his way up to Gang Master. Bob was a quiet man who never followed the norm. He was a member of the Southern Alberta Pagan Association and had a deep belief and spirituality. Bob had an overwhelming love for his two daughters and two stepchildren and his grandchildren meant everything to him. He never felt sorry for himself or wanted others to feel sorry for him. He wanted to be remembered for his determination in fighting Kidney Disease. He had a great admiration for his Mom in her struggles after her stroke and hoped he set the same example for those he knew. Bob’s philosophy was that struggles make you strong and it is as is because it is! As an expression of sympathy, those wishing to remember Bob Gold may do so with a gift to the Lethbridge Renal Clinic at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. A Special Thanks to Dr. Wong, Diane, Sharla, Anne Marie, Delores, Jeanette and Mary at the Renal Clinic. Your compassion and caring was greatly appreciated and will always be remembered.
